Built upon the Gan family’s reputation for high quality products and customer service excellence within the textile industry in the 1930s, Hong Bee Group Malaysia has passed on its secrets for success to Hong Bee Land’s (HBL) operations. The result: high quality residential and commercial properties.
Incorporated in November 7, 1994, Hong Bee Land Sdn Bhd (HBL) covered a land bank of 2,900 acres in Peninsular Malaysia. About 1,600 acres is located in Rawang while the remaining 1,300 acres lies within the Iskandar Development Region (IDR) in Pulai, Johor.
Through two joint venture agreements with prominent property developers GuocoLand (Malaysia) Bhd and S P Setia Bhd, HBL’s entry into the property development industry saw them leaving a lasting impression with the development of Emerald in Rawang.
In 2007, together with S P Setia Bhd, the Setia Eco Gardens was developed. The 1,000-acre multiple award winning eco-themed township is located in the Iskandar Development Region.
The HBL brand was further propelled when Hong Bee Property Management Sdn Bhd (HBPM) was formed in 2006 to manage its landbank. HBPM fulfils the role of project and marketing managers for HBL’s maiden township project, the 700-acre Anggun@Rawang.
To date, HBPM has managed and completed residential enclaves Anggun 1 and Anggun 2, popular shopping centre Aeon Anggun Rawang and an eco-friendly McDonald outlet.
